IAB Report - 200 units of Suzuki Inazuma sold
Since its launch on January 20 2014, Suzuki has managed to sell close to 200 units of the Suzuki Inazuma.
The Inazuma was launched for Rs 3.1 lakh (ex-Showroom, New Delhi) in January this year and the Suzuki's vice president for sales & marketing, Atul Gupta, said during the launch of the Suzuki Let's that the company has sold close to 200 units of the niche bike.
Despite the rather prohibitive pricing of the Inazuma compared to its competition, it remains the most affordable twin-cylinder motorcycle in the country.
The Inazuma is built via CKD kits. It carries a 248 cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled four-stroke engine, matched to a six-speed gearbox. The fuel injected engine’s power and torque figures for the India have not been disclosed.
The bike competes against the likes of the KTM Duke 200, Honda CBR250R, Bajaj Pulsar 220, Hyosung GT250R and the Hyosung Aquila 250.
The Inazuma measures 2,145 mm long, 760 mm wide, 1,075 mm tall and has a seat height of 780 mm. The front suspension is a telescopic type with coil springs while the rear is a Swing Arm type with coil springs. Disc brakes are used on both wheels. The fuel tank capacity is 13.3 liters.
The bike is mounted on a 110/80 x 17 front tyre and a 140/70 x 17 rear tire. Dual chrome exhaust mufflers and dual lens tail and brake lights are other noteworthy features.
