The Ford Fiesta facelift, sporting the Aston-Martin-inspired grille, has been caught testing in Brazil. Ford may introduce the Fiesta facelift in emerging markets such as Brazil and China, before heading into the recession-hit Europe.

Ford has employed this strategy with the EcoSport, launching it in Brazil, and is likely to place the car in Chinese and Indian markets, before moving into attack Europe.

The new Fiesta will get narrow headlights and lower intakes, besides a redesigned foglamp. These spyshots reveal a little more on the car's much-debated Aston-Martin-inspired grille.

When IAB met Ford India’s President & Managing Director Michael Boneham at the Chennai plant recently, he said Ford India would follow its own product lifecycles and won't respond to knee jerk reactions. We believe this is his way of saying that Ford India will not be interested to bring the facelift before the Fiesta hits its mid-life period in India.

The new Fiesta is scheduled to be revealed at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The highlight of this facelift is the engine transplant - the Fiesta will get the 1-liter Ecoboost engine and the 1.5L engine, that premiered on the Indian model last year, will be used across the world.

Ford has also modified the interior, endowing the dash with a larger LCD display and more ergonomic controls. We await more details in the lead up to the Paris Motor Show.
