2014 Bentley Continental Flying Spur teased ahead of Geneva debut
The Bentley Continental Flying Spur has been here since 2006 and it is about time that the Crewe based maker of super luxury cars brings in the next generation model.
The VW-owned British car maker has teased the new iteration of the massive four seat luxury saloon. The 2014 Bentley Continental Flying Spur gets new headlamps which bear resemblance to that of the new Continental GT. The front grill is also new.
The silhouette of the car remains almost intact with just a few refinements. The rear window line now has a sleeker profile and the rear gets new tail lamps. The interior is enriched with some bits like the steering wheel being borrowed from the Continental GT.
Under the hood, the improved version of the twin turbocharged W12 engine is expected to continue the duty. A cleaner and more fuel efficient V8 which is available in the Continental GT could also be included in the lineup.
While the design is an evolution rather than revolution, future Bentleys are expected to be more distinct according to the newly appointed design director Mr. Luc Donckerwolke who is an ex-Lamborghini man.
The new Bentley Continental Flying Spur will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on 6th March, a day after Rolls Royce unveils its Wraith.
