Nepal was the first export market for the Indian City.

Syakar Trading Company, the sole distributor for Honda cars in Nepal, is showcasing the new City at the Nepal Auto Show (NADA 2014) apart from the Mobilio MPV.

The City was launched in Nepal in March this year, and is available only with a petrol engine. The 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC is good for 119 PS (117.32 bhp) and 145 Nm of torque. The car can be had either with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic. Prices of the new City extend up to 4.75 million NPR (INR 29.47 lakhs).

The manual variant of the City delivers an efficiency of 17.8 km/l while the automatic is more frugal at 18 km/l in the ARAI test. In terms of dimensions, the sedan measures 4,440 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,495 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2,600 mm while the boot can hold 510 liters of luggage.

The new City until last month was made at Honda Cars India's Greater Noida facility. However, after the launch of the Mobilio, Honda decided to shift production of the sedan to its Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. Production is slated to restart this week.

Syakar Trading had said at the launch that it expects to sell 250 units of the car by the end of this year.
