2014 Peugeot 3008 and 3008 HYbrid4 detailed prior to their outing in Frankfurt

Peugeot has updated details on the 2014 3008 and 3008 HYbrid4 through an exhaustive press release and photographs.

The cars will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month with redesigned front fascia, restyled headlights with new LED light guides, new bumpers, chrome ornamentation and nine exterior colors. The taillights have also been redesigned, and the alloy wheels (in 16-inch, 17-inch and 18-inch measurements) are new.

The interior receives new upholstery on all variants, leather upholstery on the top-end variant with an electrically adjustable driver seat and a redesigned switchgear. Other features include Hill Start Assist, Park Assist, rear view camera, electric parking brake, ESP, and cruise control with speed limiter.

The car's boot space expands from 512 liters to 1,604 liters when the seats are folded. Other notable numbers are the coefficient of drag value that stands at 0.29, and kerb weight of 1,399kg on the base variant.

The engine options on the 2014 Peugeot 3008 are as follows -

  • 1.6-liter e-HDi FAP with 115 hp
  • 1.6-liter HDi FAP with 115 hp
  • 2.0-liter HDi FAP with outputs of 150 hp and 163 hp
  • 1.6-liter VTi with 120 hp
  • 1.6-liter THP with outputs of 155 hp and 163 hp

On the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 variant, the 2.0-liter HDi FAP engine drives the front wheels with 300Nm of torque while a 37 HP electric motor turns the rear wheels with 200Nm of torque. Through the same arrangement, a maximum output of 200 HP is achieved, with a fuel efficiency of 29.4kpl.
