Guangzhou Live - 2015 Infiniti QX50 SUV

Retains its predecessor's 2.5-litre V6 petrol engine.

The 2015 Infiniti QX50 is in attendance at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2014. The latest iteration of the premium crossover has undergone some 'aesthetic changes'.

Not only is the new version inline with the Nissan-owned brand's latest design language but, at 4,630 mm, it is a good 80 mm longer than the international version. The China-spec car has a wheelbase of 2,880 mm.

Cosmetic changes include a new-look front grille, revised headlights and a new bumper which hosts new foglights and LED daytime running lights. The rest of the crossover continues largely unchanged.

Inside, the increase in length has resulted in more legroom at the rear while the increased ride height is claimed to offer a commanding driving position.

The 2.5-litre six-cylinder engine which is capable of 235 hp has been retained. The motor comes mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.

The QX50 is the second model to be manufactured at Infiniti's Xianyang factory in Hubei Province of China, the first being the Q50L. The premium marque is betting heavily on the Chinese market which is its single largest contributor of volume.
