2015 Mercedes B Class (Facelift) to launch in India on March 11 - IAB Report
First update since the launch in mid-2012.
Mercedes-Benz India today confirmed that it will launch the 2015 Mercedes B Class (facelift) on March 11. The car had world premiered at the Paris Motor Show last October.
The facelift adds a sense of sportiness to the B-Class's family oriented styling. Compared to the current model, the MFA-based hatchback features deeper front and rear bumpers, a pair of side skirts, and new rim designs. It also comes equipped with a slightly redesigned set of headlamps that now comes with LED lighting, as well as new taillights.
Inside, the B Class features a new steering wheel similar to the C Class, ambient lighting with a choice of 12 colors and a larger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. For India, Mercedes might still offer the Style, Urban and AMG line trims for better distinction.

Power will likely be sourced from the same 120 bhp 1.6-litre petrol in the B180 variant, and the 107 bhp 2.2-litre diesel 4-cylinder engine in the B200 CDI variant. Both will offer a standard 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission, although it's unclear whether Merc will equip the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system available in European spec models.
The 2015 Mercedes B Class is already available for sale in global markets like Germany, starting at a price of EUR 27,102 (INR 20.94 Lakhs) for the basic B180 petrol. As of now, Mercedes India imports the B Class via the CBU route, with no confirmation of assembly at its Chakan plant. The company had previously said that the A- and B-Class together make up 20 percent of overall sales.
