Volkswagen has announced that it would show the 2015 VW Touareg (facelift) at the upcoming Beijing Auto Show.
The facelifted SUV gets cosmetic changes such as bigger bi-xenon headlamps, bigger grille and a new bumper. The rear sees updates to its bumper and diffuser. The car stands on a fresh alloy wheel design and also new are interior upholstery shades.
While all engine options are retained, the European-spec V6 TDI gains a new catalytic convertor that makes it Euro 6-compliant. Standard equipments for the new Touareg will include low rolling-resistance tyres along with start/stop systems.
The Touareg also gets post-collision braking system and an integrated coasting function. VW's 8-speed automatic gearbox will be standard across all variants and the Touareg's existing cruise control system will also include a city braking function.
The SUV measures 4,795 mm in length, 1,940 mm in width, 1,732 mm in height and gets a wheelbase of 2,893 mm. It gets a double wishbone suspension set up at the front and a multi-link setup for the rear.
