2016 Fiat 500 (facelift) snapped inside and out ahead of tomorrow's debut - Spied
Debut coincides with the launch date of the first 1957 model 500.
Fiat will reveal the 2016 500 (facelift) tomorrow (July 4, 2015), and seen here are more revealing spyshots of its exterior and interior.
The exterior sees minor design changes come in the form of new bumpers with redesigned airdams, new secondary light enclosures and optional inclusion of LED headlights, a first on the model. Spyshots of the rear have shown mildly redesigned LED taillights and a chrome element for the bumper.
Inside, the 2016 500 continues mostly unchanged save for the addition of the 5-inch Fiat UConnect infotainment system, minor revisions to the trim and seat upholstery, and new chrome inserts on the steering wheel. The buttons for the electric windows will also see a redesign.
Mechanically, the 500 facelift is expected to remain unaltered though reports state the front disc brakes could see an upgrade, and the engines could be fine-tuned for extra efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. The 1.2-liter petrol and the 0.9-liter TwinAir turbocharged petrol will continue with the 5-speed manual and the Dualogic AMT gearboxes.
