Gets mechanical changes too.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander is being showcased at the 2015 Dubai International Motor Show. It is expected to be launched in India next year.
Adopting the company's new "Dynamic Shield" front fascia, the Outlander facelift features a striking grille that is flanked by slender headlamps. The other notable characteristics of the SUV's exterior are, new front fenders, redesigned rear bumper, new 18-inch alloy wheels and fresh LED tail lights.
There are also some mechanical changes in the updated Outlander, including an optimized chassis, a retuned suspension suspension system, a new electric power steering system, thicker rear door glasses, improved weather stripping, a noise-isolating windshield and an added sound deadening material for improved cabin quietness.
The interior of the SUV is improved with revamped trims, new seat upholstery, a higher quality headliner, a new steering wheel, and an upgraded infotainment system.
The powertrain choices for the non-PHEV model include a 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 166 bhp (123 kW) and 219 Nm (162 lb-ft) mated to a new CVT, and a 3.0-litre V6 that produces 224 bhp (167 kW) and 291 Nm (215 lb-ft) paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.
