2016 Nissan Pathfinder (facelift) - IAB Rendering

Expected to debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.

Nissan is currently working on a mid-cycle facelift for the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder, which is expected to debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show next month. Based on spyshots of a prototype, IndianAutosBlog's graphic artist, Shoeb R Kalania, has worked on a rendering of the 2016 Pathfinder.

The engine options would remain untouched.

As seen in the rendering, the new Pathfinder will embrace a slightly revised exterior, where changes are concentrated on the front end. It gets a new grille design with horizontal slats, sleeker headlamps with new clusters, re-profiled front bumpers and new rim designs. Changes at the rear are limited to tweaks to the bumper.

Nissan is unlikely to introduce a new engine option or significant upgrades. The new Pathfinder could retain the current model’s engine lineup, which will include a supercharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol hybrid setup and a conventional 3.5-litre V6 petrol variant. The only transmission option is an XTronic CVT option, while an All-Mode 4×4-i Intuitive 4WD system is also offered.

The interior is likely to feature minimal updates to the infotainment and interior colors, according to reports.

No new spyshots or details of the new Pathfinder's interior have emerged, yet. It is likely to have small updates to the infotainment and MID displays, and new interior colors that freshen the cabin.
