2017 Audi RS3 Sedan - Rendering
Will likely be launched in Europe in H1 2017.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Audi had confirmed the Audi RS3 at the Audi Summit for Audi of America employees. Soon after, the car was leaked online in images clicked at an internal presentation. Audi's roadmap for North America later confirmed a market launch of the car. Now, a rendering from IAB's automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania previews the 2017 Audi RS3 Sedan in near-production guise.
The 2017 Audi RS3 Sedan is currently under development in Europe and was spied testing for the first time last week, on the Nurburgring in Germany. The RS variant gets a more aggressive front fascia with the Singleframe grille featuring a mesh-pattern, high-gloss black-honeycomb grille and a frame in matte aluminium look; high-gloss black-honeycomb air scoops and a restyled bumper.
At the sides, the 2017 Audi RS3 Sedan features larger alloy wheels and fatter tyres. The rear-end incorporates a subtle spoiler, diffuser and oval-shaped dual exhaust tips. The RS variant will likely sit lower than the S variant, providing better aerodynamics.

Powering the Audi RS3 Sedan will likely be the 2.5-litre TFSI turbocharged five-cylinder petrol engine that produces 270 kW (367 PS/361.93 hp) at 5,550-6,800 rpm and 465 Nm of torque at 1,625-5,550 rpm in the Audi RS3 Sportback. This engine will likely be mated to the 7-speed S-tronic transmission. The quattro permanent all-wheel drive system will be standard. With this configuration, a 0-100 km/h run won't take more than 4.5 seconds, while the top speed will be limited to 250 km/h.
