2017 Hyundai Grand i10 (facelift) spied in Chennai
Reported to launch early next year.
IAB fan Manoj Prabakaran has photographed the Hyundai Grand i10 (facelift) testing in Sriperumbudur, Chennai, where Hyundai India's factory is located. The facelifted Grand i10 is expected to go on sale in early 2017.
The test mule features canvas wrapping across major portions of the body, although changes to the exterior are likely to be limited to the plastic components in the front and rear ends of the hatchback. It will borrow cues from the Euro-spec Hyundai i10 facelift that made its world debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show last month, which include a hexagonal grille, boomerang foglamp enclosures, and a sporty rear bumper.
Inside, the basic design will be retained, but Hyundai could experiment with color combinations and materials. The top-end Asta variant is expected to offer a touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control.

The facelifted Hyundai Grand i10 is likely to continue with the current engine range, which has the 1.2L four-cylinder petrol and 1.1L three-cylinder diesel engines. A 5-speed manual is standard in both variants, while a 4-speed automatic is exclusive to the 1.2 petrol. It was reported last year that the Grand i10 would be the first Hyundai to launch with the ZF-sourced AMT.
