The petrol lineup comprised of a 190 PS 2.4-litre GDi unit and a 266 PS 3.0-litre V6 GDi. Diesel power comes from a 202 PS 2.2L e-VGT turbodiesel 4-cyl engine, while a 3.0-litre LPG-powered engine generating 235 PS is available for customers in the commercial segment. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic.

The new Grandeur measures 4,930 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width and 1,470 mm in height, and has wheelbase of 2,845 mm, making it 10 mm longer and 5 mm wider than its previous model. With the Hyundai Equus and Hyundai Genesis now being sold as the EQ900 and G80, respectively, under the Genesis luxury brand, the Grandeur is now Hyundai's flagship sedan in Korea, slotting above the Hyundai Sonata.
