Over three years after its arrival, the Mercedes GLA received a facelift in January this year. Internationally the new model is already on sale, and in India, its launch will take place on 5 July, 2017, as per a report from Autocar India.

The 2017 Mercedes GLA will continue with the 183 hp 2.0-litre petrol and 136 hp 2.1-litre diesel engines in India, it is reported.

The mid-cycle update has brought subtle changes to the Mercedes GLA's exterior. The facelifted GLA features LED headlights, redesigned radiator grille and air dam grille, remodelled bumpers, new alloy wheels and revised tail lights with new graphics and LED lighting. There's a new exterior colour named 'Canyon Beige' included in the colour palette and an optional off-road comfort suspension that increases the height by 30 mm.

On the inside, the 2017 Mercedes GLA has new dials and red needles in the instrument cluster, new seat upholstery and trim choices and chrome finish on the seat's electric controls and the surround of the stowage compartment in the centre console. Keyless entry and 360-degree camera are available now, while the infotainment system now has a free-standing display as standard and features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
