2017 SsangYong Korando launched in South Korea
SsangYong's compact SUV gets a facelift in its home market.
SsangYong Motor launched the 2017 SsangYong Korando C in South Korea this week. The facelifted model is now on sale in the and should reach global markets later this year.
With the facelift, the SsangYong Korando C gets an upated front fascia with new design headlamps, radiator grille, air dam grille and fog lamps, restyled bumper and resculpted hood. The revised front-end is the identity of the new model, but the profile and rear-end don't seem to have changed much. The 2017 SsangYong Korando C sports new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Inside, the new model gets a new steering wheel and redesigned instrument cluster which SsangYong calls Super Vision Clusters, and it allows the driver to select from six different colours. There's a 7-inch colour display for the infotainment system on the dashboard. Infinity sound system by Harman Audio is optional.

The 2017 SsangYong Korando C is powered by e-XDi220 LET 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 178 PS at 4,000 rpm and 40.8 kg.m (400.11 Nm) of torque at 1,400-2,800 rpm. Power is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. A four-wheel drive system can be specified. The new Korando C is available in KX, DX and RX trim levels, and in the 'Extreme Edition'.
