2018 Honda Aviator launched in India, priced at INR 55,157
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) today launched the 2018 Honda Aviator in India, priced at INR 55,157*. The new Honda Aviator follows just two days after the 2018 Honda Activa-i was launched for a price of INR 50,010*.
The new Honda Aviator is INR 1,405* more expensive as compared to the old model. It is available in three variants - standard, alloy drum and alloy disc. Similar to the new Honda Activa 125, the 2018 Honda Aviator features LED headlamp and daytime running lights, 4-in-1 ignition switch with seat opener Switch, retractable front & rear hooks, and metal muffler protector. It has a blue-backlit instrument cluster as well.
Speaking about the launch of the 2018 Aviator, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said, -

The 2018 Honda Aviator now comes with a new Pearl Spartan Red colour option, which is sold alongside the existing shades like Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic and Pearl Amazing White. New colour addition and cosmetic upgrades aside, the new Aviator has no other changes. The Honda Aviator rivals the TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Let's, Hero Duet and Hero Maestro Edge.
Powering the 2018 Honda Aviator is the carried over 109 cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve engine with carburetted fuelling that is capable of producing develop 8 bhp of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 9 Nm at 5,500 rpm. This engine is coupled to a V-Matic transmission. The 2018 Aviator features 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels that wrap to 90/100-section tubeless tires.

The 2018 Honda Aviator features telescopic front forks and spring loaded hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. Anchorage comes from an optional 190 mm front disc brake with a 130 mm drum brake at the back, while CBS (combined braking system) is standard. An under-bone chassis underpins the 2018 Honda Aviator. The 125 cc-class scooter has a fuel tank capacity of 6 litres along and a kerb weight of 106 kg. It can achieve a top speed of 82 km/h.
