2018 Hyundai ix35 to be listed in the Chinese market in December
Beijing-Hyundai readies all-new Hyundai ix35 exclusively for China.
Hyundai unveiled the all-new Hyundai ix35 in China at the Auto Shanghai 2017 in April. According to a new report from pcauto.com.cn, Beijing-Hyundai will list the 2018 Hyundai ix35 in China in December.
The new generation Hyundai ix35 is made exclusively for China, where the previous generation Hyundai ix35 (second-gen Hyundai Tucson) is sold alongside the all-new Hyundai Tucson even today. The crossover now measures 4,435 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,670 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,640 mm. With the full redesign, it has grown 15 mm in length and 30 mm in width. The height, varying as per the configuration compared to, has increased by 10 mm/reduced by 20 mm. The wheelbase has remained unchanged.
Beijing-Hyundai will offer the 2018 Hyundai ix35 with two engines - a 1.4-litre T-GDI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit and a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder unit. The 1.4-litre petrol model will pair with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In other news, Hyundai is preparing the facelifted Hyundai ix25 (Hyundai Creta) for China. This model should also launch later this year.
