2019 Audi A6 spied testing in Pune [Video]
The 2019 Audi A6, which debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, was recently spotted testing in Pune by Rushlane reader Hemant Somnathe. The all-new model will hit the Indian market here in 2019 for a starting price of around INR 55 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new generation Audi A6 measures 4,939 mm in length, 1,886 mm in width and 1,457 mm in height. In comparison to its predecessor, the new version is 7 mm longer, 12 mm wider, and 2 mm taller. Its wheelbase, at 2,924 mm, is longer than before. The C8 Audi A6 has a drag coefficient of 0.24 Cd, which, along with the acoustic glass, caps the noise level inside the cabin.
Like the latest Audi A7, the all-new Audi A6 features a design inspired by the Audi Prologue concept. It has a bolder front-end with a wider hexagonal Singleframe grille that is flanked by sleek HD Matrix LED headlamps. On the sides, the executive saloon features crisper lines and tauter surfaces. The rear-end is characterised by a chrome strip that connects the LED tail lights while emphasising the car's width.
The interior of the 2019 Audi A6 mimics that of its bigger siblings to a large extent. Taking a centre stage on the dashboard is a 10.1-inch touchscreen for the infotainment unit. An 8.6-inch display on the bottom offers HVAC controls.

The 2019 Audi A6 is likely to be launched in India with two 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 engines - TFSI petrol and TDI diesel. The former produces 340 PS and 500 Nm, while the latter offers 286 PS and 620 Nm. The petrol engine comes mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission, while the oil burner is mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic unit. The Quattro AWD system is available internationally, but that option is unlikely for our market.
