The 2019 Honda CB1000R+ has been launched in India at a price of INR 14.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings are open for the neo sports café at Honda Wing World outlets, while deliveries will commence shortly.

The 2019 Honda CB1000R+ features a neo-retro design with LED headlights, single-sided swingarm and a single-seat layout.

Speaking about the launch of the 2019 CBU line up, Mr Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd. said:

The models in 2019 line up will be loaded with exciting new features and upgradation; moreover, the riders will experience Honda’s superior technology and the thrill of riding. We welcome all our customers for the bookings starting today at Honda’s exclusive ‘Wing World’ outlets.

The naked roadster features a neo-retro design philosophy, which can be seen on various modern-classic motorcycles from Honda, including the basic CB125R. The Honda CB1000R+ features a round LED headlamp, a digital speedometer, sculpted fuel tank and a slightly raised tail section with a single seat. The motorcycle is underpinned by a steel chassis and a separate sub-frame and gets a single-sided swingarm.

Powering the CB1000R+ is a Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade sourced 998cc, in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that has been reworked to offer 16 per cent increased power and 5 per cent more torque as compared to the older model. The engine produces 143 hp at 10,500 rpm and 104 Nm at 8,250 rpm, mated to a 6-speed transmission.

The power delivery is aided by a throttle-by-wire (TBW) system and slipper clutch, while the motorcycle also features traction control, three rider modes along with a USER setting (Power (P) and Engine Brake (EB) modes) and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). Other features include heated grips and a quick-shifter.

The Honda CB1000R+ is 12 kg lighter at 212 kg (kerb weight) compared to the outgoing model. Suspension duties are carried out by fully-adjustable Showa separate function big piston USD forks at the front and a fully-adjustable Showa mono shock at the rear.

The 2019 Honda CB1000R+ uses a reworked 998cc engine that is sourced from the Honda CBR1000RR.
