India-bound 2019 Mercedes B Class shows its interior
The third generation Mercedes B-Class is expected to have its world premiere at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, before going on sale in key markets by early 2019. AutoWeek reader Harry Zwarts spotted the future model in Germany recently.
The 2019 Mercedes B-Class is based on the latest Mercedes A-Class' MFA FWD platform, but engineers have stiffened it up from its predecessor. The overall look and styling will be similar to today's B-Class, as the company wants to retain the model's family car proposition.
However, as seen in the spy shots, the new B-Class features the latest A-Class' fancy interior including the twin display with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch central display. The turbine-inspired air vents are also borrowed from the A-Class, as are the switchgear and steering wheel. The 2019 B-Class will also offer MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience), which made its debut on the new A-Class and promises a step up from the COMAND infotainment system.

Expect the 2019 Mercedes B-Class to launch in India towards the end of next year with petrol and diesel powertrains. The current model offers a 2.2-liter diesel and a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol.
