Mercedes Benz A-Class Sedan - 2018 Paris Motor Show Live
The Mercedes Benz A-Class Sedan (standard wheelbase) has made its public debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. An 'Edition 1' limited-run model, which will be available for a year from launch, is also on display at the show.
With a Coefficient of drag (Cd) value of 0.22, the Mercedes A-Class sedan is now the most aerodynamic production car in the world, not the Mercedes Benz CLA. It takes design inspiration from the new generation Mercedes CLS. The Edition 1 variant features the LED High-Performance headlights, copper diamond grille pins, 64-colour LED ambient lighting and sports seats with adjustable head restraints. It also gets dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels and contrasting copper stitching on the dashboard, chairs and the central armrest. Inside, the Mercedes Benz A-Class Sedan's main highlight is are the dual 10.25-inch screens, one of which is the instrument cluster and the other the central display.
Mercedes-Benz will offer the A-Class Sedan in the following configurations:
- A 180 d - 1.5L diesel engine, 116 PS/260 Nm, 7G-DCT, FWD
- A 200 - 1.3L petrol engine (163 PS/250 Nm), 6-MT/7G-DCT, FWD
- A 220 4MATIC - 2.0L petrol engine (190 PS/300 Nm), 7G-DCT, 4MATIC AWD
- A 250 - 2.0L petrol engine (224 PS/350 Nm), 7G-DCT, FWD
- A 250 4MATIC - 2.0L petrol engine (224 PS/350 Nm), 7G-DCT, 4MATIC AWD
The Mercedes A-Class Sedan is already available to order in Europe now. Its prices in the Old Continent start at €30,916.20 (INR 26,19,655.04). Deliveries will commence in early 2019. There's no word on the Indian launch of the new luxury compact sedan yet.
