2020 Mahindra TUV300 Plus (facelift) spied on test again
The 2020 Mahindra TUV300 Plus (facelift) has been spied once again, courtesy PowerDrift. Apart from the exterior changes and new features, the MY2020 model will pack a BS-VI compliant engine as hinted by the AdBlue tank next to the fuel filler cap.
The new Mahindra TUV300 is expected to feature a revamped front fascia. Like the previously spotted test mule, the latest test mule was devoid of the production headlamp units, thus once again hiding the possible changes in that aspect. It features a new radiator grille in a design inspired by that of the Mahindra Alturas G4.
On the inside, the 2020 Mahindra TUV300 Plus is expected to make use of the upgraded form of the BS-IV 2.2-litre mHawk that produces 120 PS at 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque at 1,800-2,800 rpm in the old model. While the engine will be upgraded to BS-VI standards, it will likely be paired with the same 6-speed manual transmission as in the old model.
The current Mahindra TUV300 Plus offers dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, collapsible steering column, sided intrusion beams, digital immobiliser, driver seat belt reminder, auto door lock while driving, anti-theft steering lock and hazard lights on panic braking. The updated model is expected to be safer and will be offered with a longer list of features.
