The H Gear is the new variant of the Platina 110 motorcycle that comes with a first-in-segment five-speed gearbox, a gear position indicator on the instrument console and a gearshift guide (up- and down-shift pointer). The mechanical specifications are identical to the standard Platina 110, and the Platina 110 H Gear is propelled by a 115 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder motor that churns out 8.6 PS at 7,000 rpm and 9.81 Nm at 5,000 engine revs. The ARAI certified fuel economy rating is 84 km/l.
Styling cues specific to the H Gear model include 3D Platina logo on the fuel tank, dual-tone graphics on the front fender, headlight mask, fuel tank, side and rear panels and a "110 H Gear" sticker at the back. The seat features a ribbed pattern for a premium look to the motorcycle. The pillion footrests are flatter and wider for enhanced comfort.
Anchoring department comprises drum brakes on both wheels as standard, while a front disc is available as an option. Safety net comprises Bajaj’s Anti Skid Braking (combi-braking system). Unlike most of the products in the country, the Bajaj Platina 110 H Gear uses a mechanical CBS.
The suspension setup on the Platina 110 H Gear is identical to the standard Platina 110. Thus, shock absorption tasks are performed by Nitrox suspension at the back and conventional telescopic forks at the front.
