The Blacksmith B3 electric scooter carries unconventional styling that is in line with the company’s B2 electric motorcycle. The front fascia includes an apron-mounted headlight along with the bumpers. The massive front fender gets a garnishing on the top-centre and it covers the wider-section tyre. The scooter comes with some windblast protection in the form of a windscreen.
The Blacksmith B3's second teaser (below) shows that it features an LCD panel that should offer real-time diagnostics about the battery and the motor. Other information displayed on it may include the speed, distance travelled, distance to empty and a clock. The scooter may also benefit from a turn-by-turn navigation system. In comparison, the Ather 450 and the Ather 340 come with Google-Map style navigation system.
The saddle has a boxy shape, and there's a backrest for passenger comfort. The rear of the B3 electric scooter, like its front fender, has a stripe-style design. The 3D “Blacksmith” branding is visible on the side panel.
The suspension setup should include conventional front forks and twin-sided rear springs. The braking department will most likely include disc brakes on both wheels, while the safety net will consist of CBS.
Technical specifications revealed by Blacksmith indicate that the B3's electric scooter will deliver 19.7 PS of peak power and 96 Nm of maximum torque - the same as that of the B2 motorcycle. Its 72V lithium-ion battery pack is claimed to return 120 km of range per charge. The recharge time stands at four hours. The top speed of the scooter is rated at a commendable, 120 km/h while its 0-50 km/h acceleration time is 3.6 seconds.
Storage solutions will most likely include a massive under-seat space and a front box that positioned close to the floorboard. The electric scooter, similar to most of the electric two-wheelers in our country, will use full LED lighting. Other features of the B3 electric scooter will include:
- LED with Projector Head Lamps
- New Traffic Indicators
- GPS & Artificial Intelligence System
- Alarm & Circuit Closing System
- 200 kg Loading Capacity
- 210 mm of Ground Clearance
- Side Stand & Occupant Sensor
- Kids Seat Belt
- High Energy Density NMC battery pack with Intelligent Bluetooth BMS
