BMW Motorrad officially commences operations in India
BMW Motorrad enters India with a portfolio of CBU motorcycles.
BMW Motorrad has officially commenced operations in India as a part of BMW Group India. The Germans had so far retailed motorcycles via importers who had sales outlets in Mumbai and New Delhi.
The company is in the process of setting up the dealer network in India which in the initial phase come up in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune.
Speaking about the operations, Mr Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, said:

The BMW Motorrad portfolio in India includes sports, tour, heritage roadster and adventure and range between INR 14.90 lakhs and INR 28.50 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). BMW Motorrad has however made no mention of their most eagerly anticipated model, the BMW G310R, their smallest roadster which is manufactured by TVS at their Hosur manufacturing facility.
BMW is expected to introduce the BMW G310R at a later date, as per recent reports.
