BMW X7 launched in India at INR 98.90 lakh
BMW has launched the X7 in India at INR 98.90 lakh. The flagship SUV is available in two configurations in our market: xDrive40i and xDrive30d DPE Signature. Both the configurations carry the same price.
The BMW X7 features an upright front-end featuring BMW Laserlight with Adaptive LED Headlights and a huge single frame kidney grille which makes it look imposing. A hexagonal lower grille sits below, while the housing of the sleek horizontally placed LED fog lamps features silver-finished surrounds.
At the back, its flattish wrap around tail lamps are connected by a chrome bar which looks very elegantly designed. Overall, the grandest member of the BMW 'X' family carries a similar silhouette which quickly reminds of the other models under the same range.
The xDrive40i model variant is powered by a 3.0-litre straight-six, turbo-petrol engine that puts out 340 PS and 450 Nm of torque, while the xDrive30d comes with a 3.0-litre straight-six turbo-diesel engine that produces 265 PS and 620Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system is standard.
Inside, the BMW X7 comes with BMW Live Cockpit Professional comprising a 12.3-inch fully virtual instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch central display with Apple CarPlay and gesture control, five-zone automatic climate control, park assist (autonomous parking), an electric three-part panoramic glass roof and Panorama glass roof Sky Lounge. Panorama glass roof Sky Lounge illuminates more than 15,000 graphic patterns which embosses a starlit sky effect.
The biggest X-range SUV is 5,151 mm long, 2,000 mm in wide, 1,805 mm in tall and has a wheelbase of 3,105 mm. It is available in six- and seven-seating configurations and features a reclining function for all three rows.

The BMW X7 xDrive30d is locally assembled, while the BMW X7 xDrive40i is imported via the CBU route. Later this year, the BMW X7 M50d with a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder, quad-turbocharged diesel engine (400 PS/760Nm) will be launched.
