Changan CS75 - Motorshow Focus

Made its Chinese debut at the 2013 Guangzhou Auto Show.

The Changan CS75 was showcased at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. The car entered the Chinese market in April 2014.

The Changan CS75 has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

The CS75 is a mid-size SUV that slots above the CS35 in the Changan lineup. The exterior description begins with the face which has a chunky single-slat grille that carries the company name, angular headlights, horizontal foglight strip, silver-finish element on bumper, chrome dual hood vents and skid plate.

Over to the side, the SUV gets massive wheel arches, sharp shoulder line, lower plastic body cladding and chrome elements near the front fender and lower body. The rear is busy with a tailgate spoiler, wraparound tail lights, skid plate and twin chrome-finished rectangular exhaust tips.

The CS75 mid-size SUV sits above the CS35 in the Changan portfolio.

The interior is dominated by black plastic, with the exception of the three-spoke steering wheel and seats which are wrapped in leather and feature red stitching that adds a touch of sportiness. Aluminum-finish accents have been used extensively and make their presence felt on the center console, AC vents, steering wheel and door pads. A TFT screen is nestled between two analog dials in the instrument cluster while a central touchscreen display allows access to infotainment functions.

Plastic is the dominant material in the cabin, but red stitching on the steering wheel and seat provide a tinge of sportiness.

There are two engines available under the hood. These are a 1.8-liter inline four turbocharged engine producing 177 hp and 230 Nm of peak torque, and a 2.0-liter inline four naturally-aspirated unit pushing out 158 hp and 200 Nm of torque. Transmission choices for both engines are a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
