Customer buys new Honda Activa 125 BS-VI with full payment done in coins
Rakesh Kumar Gupta, a resident of Satna District, Madhya Pradesh bought a brand new BS-VI Honda Activa 125 in a special way, by making full payment in coins. The dealership, Krishna Honda, Panna Naka, Satna, took more than three hours to count the coins. The coins largely comprised in the denomination of INR 10 and INR 5.

To give you a recap, the new BS-VI Honda Active 125 is available from INR 67,490* (Standard – Steel wheels and drum brakes). The mid (Alloy – alloy wheels and drum brakes) and the high-spec (Deluxe – alloy wheels and front disc brake) configurations are priced at INR 70,990* and INR 74,490* respectively. There are four colours – Rebel Red Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, Heavy Grey Metallic & Pearl Precious White.
The new Honda Activa 125 comes with a three-year warranty as standard, and buyers can opt for an additional three year extended warranty.
The biggest upgrade on the new Activa 125 is its engine that complies with the upcoming BS-VI emission norms well ahead of the April 2020 deadline. The 124 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine benefits from a fuel injection system, and it pumps out 6.10 kW (8.29 PS) of peak power at 6,500 rpm and 10.3 Nm of max torque at 5,000 rpm. In comparison, the BS-IV model delivered 6.35 kW (8.63 PS) at 6,500 rpm and 10.54 Nm at 5,000 rpm.
The engine benefits from PGM-FI Honda Eco Technology (HET), new ACG silent start system, Idling Stop System and Honda Enhanced Smart Power (eSP). Honda promises a 13% better fuel economy than the BS-IV model.
Styling upgrade exercise brings a LED headlight with signature LED Position Lamp, an updated instrument console, a chrome chest on the apron and larger dimensions. The BS-VI Activa 125 is 36 mm longer, 3 mm wider and 19 mm taller than the BS-IV version.

The updated instrument console brings a semi-digital display to the Honda Activa 125. Apart from the regular ride related information, the console also displays ECO indicator, average fuel consumption, real-time economy and distance to empty. An external fuel lid, a 5-in-1 key slot, front glove box, a side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor and a full metal body are also part of the package.
