Deliveries of the BS-VI Honda Activa 125 commence
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has started the deliveries of its first BS-VI product - the new Activa 125. The Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler brand selected the first day of Navratri to commence the deliveries of vehicle. The keys of the BS-VI Activa 125 were handed over to the first customer, Ankur Arora, in New Delhi.

Commenting on the beginning of the PAN India deliveries of the BS-VI Activa 125, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said:

Launched on 11 September, the new, BS-VI Honda Activa 125 is available from INR 67,490* onwards. Check out the variant-wise prices below:

The BS-VI version comes with as many as 26 new patent applications. The vehicle is available in three variants – Standard, Alloy and Deluxe – and 4 colours options – Rebel Red Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic, Heavy Grey Metallic & Pearl Precious White. Honda is also offering a special 6-year warranty package (3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty) with the BS-VI Activa 125.
The feature list on the new BS-VI Honda Activa 125 includes a LED headlight with signature LED Position Lamp and a chrome chest on the apron. The BS-VI Activa 125 is larger (36 mm longer, 3 mm wider and 19 mm taller) than the model it replaces.
The cockpit has also received revisions, and the updated instrument console features a semi-digital display. The various readings available on the instrument console include ECO indicator, real-time economy, average fuel consumption and distance to empty. The speedometer is an analogue unit, and a digital screen combines the functions of the odometer, malfunction light, service due indicator and the clock. The vehicle also benefits from a external fuel lid, 5-in-1 key slot, front glove box, full metal body and a side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor.

In terms of performance, the new BS-VI Activa 125 employs a 124 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a fuel injection system that delivers 6.10 kW (8.29 PS) of power at 6,500 rpm. Key additions to the BS-VI compliant engine include PGM-FI Honda Eco Technology (HET), a new ACG silent start system, Honda Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) and Idling Stop System. Honda claims a 13% improvement in the fuel economy numbers over the BS-IV model.
