Dr. Pawan Goenka tweets out about the Quanto AT, XUV500 AT
A few weeks ago, President of Mahindra Automotive and Farm equipment sectors Dr. Pawan Goenka has written a tweet addressing a question by a Twitter user on future launches.
Dr. Goenka said that an automatic transmission variant for the XUV500 is not in sight. Mahindra are in the process of developing an automatic transmission for the XUV500 and it would take over two years to reach the market. He ruled out the possibility of an automatic transmission for the Quanto.
Another variant Mahindra showcased at the Sao Paulo Auto Show earlier this month was the 4WD Quanto variant equipped with the 2.2L mHawk engine which would be built for the export markets in the future.
Speaking to Indian Autos Blog yesterday, Mr. Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing officer, Mahindra&Mahindra Automotive sector, said they are looking into the customer input for all future launches.
Mahindra have scheduled the compact version of the Verito for the end of the financial year.
