Ducati Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 to be auctioned for Carlin Dunne Foundation
Ducati will make a charity auction to support the newly established Carlin Dunne Foundation. The Carlin Dunne Foundation commemorates the memory and preserves the legacy of Ducati racing legend, Carlin Dunne.

Ducati will auction a unit of the limited-edition Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 – numbered 5 of 500 to honour Carlin Dunne’s race number. The Italian manufacturer had removed the number 5 (Dunne’s racing tag) from the selling list. The motorcycle is available for bidding from 5-15 September. Homologated for the US, the motorcycle has a value of USD 42,500 (approximately INR 30.46 lakh). The proceeds of the auction will go to the Carlin Dunne Foundation and will serve as initial capital for activities.
Unveiled at round nine of the Superbike World Championship at Laguna Seca, the limited-edition Ducati Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 is available for INR 54.90 lakh* in the Indian market. The 25° Anniversario 916 model is built on the Panigale V4 S. The mechanicals from the V4 S receive upgrades with racing content from the Panigale V4 R. Thus, the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario gets Ducati Corse spec Front Frame, track-specific electronics and a dry clutch.
Styling cues on the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario include a special livery, two-tone rider's seat, racing screen, carbon fibre/titanium swingarm cover and racing grip among other features. The motorcycle comes equipped with a titanium type-approved Akrapovič exhaust, forged magnesium wheels and several Ducati Performance components. Engine specifications comprise the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale, 90-degree V4 engine with Desmodromic timing, a counter-rotating crankshaft and a Twin Pulse firing order. The V4 motor pumps out 214 hp of peak power at 13,000 rpm and 123.5 Nm of max torque at 10,000 rpm.
The comprehensive electronics package includes Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control EVO 2 (DTC EVO 2), Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Ducati Wheelie Control EVO (DWC EVO), Ducati Power Launch (DPL), Ducati Quick Shift up/down EVO 2 (DQS EVO 2), Engine Brake Control EVO (EBC EVO) and Ducati Electronic Suspension EVO (DES EVO).

Ducati World Superbike rider, Chaz Davies has also donated his racing suit from his winning race weekend in Laguna Seca during 2019 World Superbike for the auction. The specially designed suit fashions a Carl Fogarty’s leathers inspired livery from the era of the 916 Superbike.
The Carlin Dunne Foundation aids in the development of preventative resources and rehabilitation programs supporting extreme sports athletes.
