Ducati Streetfighter V4 to debut on 23 October, boast 208 hp of power

Ducati has revealed a teaser video of the upcoming Streetfighter V4 roadster ahead of its unveiling on 23 October. The unveiling date of the upcoming Ducati V4 roadster coincides with the Kawasaki Z H2 supercharged roadster. Ducati will also reveal its other 2020 products on the this date.

The teaser video gives a glimpse at the headlight setup of the upcoming Ducati Streetfighter V4 roadster. The upcoming motorcycle will feature a twin-pod LED headlight. Apart from the headlight setup, the teaser also confirms the Desmosedici Stradale engine for the naked roadster that it will share with the Panigale V4 series (except the V4R that features a 998 cc displacement). The 1,103 cc four-cylinder, 4-valves per cylinder, liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale 90° V4 motor, as mentioned in the video, will pump out a colossal 208 hp of peak power at 12,750 rpm.

The power will be harnessed by a comprehensive electronics package that will be shared with the Panigale V4. Thus, the Streetfighter V4 will benefit from safety features such as Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO, Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Bosch Cornering ABS EVO and Engine Brake Control (EBC) EVO.

Ducati may introduce the Streetfighter V4 in at least two variants – Standard and S. A track-only R (Panigale V4R based roadster? Maybe) version may also join the list in the future. Similar to the Panigale S, the Streetfighter V4 S should receive electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension, Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down EVO and other top-drawer components as standard.

While the roadster will not feature a fairing, it will be equipped with MotoGP inspired biplane wings to offer downforce and oppose front wheel from lifting up. Spy images and the photograph of the Streetfighter V4 prototype have already given us the glimpse of the hardware in the past.

The motorcycle will tip the weighing scale at 178 kg (kerb or dry not mentioned) that will give it a healthy power-to-weight ratio. The ergonomics will be designed for an upright riding position, and the Streetfighter V4 will feature a high handlebar.

The teaser video of the upcoming Ducati Streetfighter V4 reveals that the roadster will pack 208 hp of power at 12,750 rpm.
