FB Mondial HPS 300 Indian assembly line inaugurated, deliveries begin

In October 2018, Motoroyale, a part of the Kinetic Engineering Group, introduced the FB Mondial HPS 300 in the Indian market at an ex-showroom Delhi price tag of INR 3.37 lakh. The motorcycle was launched alongside MV Agusta, Norton Motorcycles, SWM, and Hyosung at an event held in Mumbai. FB Mondial will be marketed in India and other Asian markets exclusively by Motoroyale.

The FB Mondial HPS 300 will be assembled at Motoroyale's Ahmednagar plant in Maharashtra. The motorcycle, despite its premium price tag, has received about 100 bookings.

In latest updates, Motoroyale has inaugurated the assembly line for the FB Mondial HPS 300 at its Ahmednagar plant. The motorcycle will be available through the seven Motoroyale showrooms across the country. The deliveries, as shared by Ajinkya Firodia, Managing Director – Motoroyale via Facebook, have commenced in the Indian market. Firodia wrote:

A memorable week with @gallicesare63 inaugurating the assembly line for the amazing FB Mondial HPS 300 as deliveries commence for the India’s cutest looking Italian motorcycle!

Despite the premium price tag, the FB Mondial HPS 300 has received a positive response as Motoroyale received around 100 bookings for the motorcycle. The modern-classic roadster combines the styling of a scrambler and a café racer. Design traits include a sharp fuel tank, short fenders, Scrambler style tall set exhausts, large engine belly cover, single-seat and a drag-style handlebar with bar-end mirrors.

Feature list matches the price point as the motorcycle come equipped with upside-down forks at the front, adjustable mono-shock at the rear and an aluminium swingarm. The HPS 300 rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wire spoke wheels that are wrapped in dual-purpose tyres.

Powering the FB Mondial HPS 300 is a single-cylinder, 249cc, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 25 hp of maximum power and 22 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox. Stopping power comes from a single disc at the front and a single disc at the rear while dual-channel ABS comes as standard.

Ajinkya Firodia and Cesare Galli inaugurated the new assembly line. The deliveries of the motorcycle have commenced.

There is no direct rival to the FB Mondial HPS 300, but it can be compared to the likes of the BMW G310R, the KTM 390 Duke and the TVS Apache RR310. Royal Enfield’s newest cafe racer, the Continental GT 650, is sold at a lower price tag than the HPS 300. The 650cc twin-cylinder powered motorcycle is available in the Indian market with prices starting from INR 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
