The price drop of the EcoSport line-up and the launch of the EcoSport Thunder edition can directly be linked with the growing competition in the sub-4 meter SUV segment. Since Hyundai just introduced the Venue which is priced very aggressively from INR 6.5 lakh, competing brands like Maruti and Ford have already rolled-up the sleeves to give it a tougher time.
