'Blu' seems like a special edition based on the facelifted Ford Figo that will go on sale later this month.

The Ford Figo Blu features black front grille surround, black C-shaped applique on the front bumper, black ORVMs, 15-inch black alloy wheels and black roof for a sportier styling. It may have an all-black interior theme. The unit seen here has a TDCi badge on the tailgate, indicating that it's powered by the 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine.

The facelifted Ford Figo looks the same as the export-spec version. At the front, there’s a new mesh grille featuring a chrome surround, daytime running lamps highlighted with C-shaped applique and a restyled bumper. At the rear too, there’s a new bumper, with a C-shaped moulding at each corner echoing the applique on the front bumper. Inside, Ford will introduce the 6.5-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

The Figo will gain 1.2- and 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engines from the Dragon engine family with the facelift. For economy-focused customers not willing to shell out the premium commanded by the 1.5-litre diesel engine, Ford may introduce a petrol-CNG option, likely a derivative of the new 1.2-litre motor. The availability of the bi-fuel option should boost demand from cab and fleet operators.

The new 1.2-litre Ti-VCT three-cylinder petrol engine produces 96 PS and 120 Nm of torque. Paired with an all-new 5-speed manual transmission, it will likely deliver a fuel economy of over 20 km/l. The copy-pasted diesel engine will also send the drive to the wheels via this new transmission, which is almost 15% lighter and requires 40% lesser gear oil than its predecessor.

The new 1.5-litre Ti-VCT three-cylinder petrol engine develops 123 PS and 136 Nm of torque. It will come married to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
