Following the reveal of the Genesis EQ900's design sketches as well as a few details on the equipment it will feature, Korean news agency Yonhap learns from a vice-president level company executive that the Equus replacement will launch on December 9 in Korea. Hyundai has already confirmed that the Genesis EQ900 will launch in December, and the international version, the Genesis G90, will launch globally next year.
The full-size luxury sedan is, according to Hyundai Vice Chairman Yang Woong-chul, the "most advanced full-size luxury sedan that will set a new paradigm for the segment”. Genesis is Hyundai's answer to brands like Infiniti and Lexus, which are respective spin-offs from Nissan and Toyota.
