Honda has received 500 bookings for the CB300R India since order books opened in January. In fact, the company had announced in February that the CB300R had been sold out for three months when the total bookings stood at 400 units. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, had said in the past that the company had revised the production plan to meet the unanticipated demand. Guleria said:
Indian middle weight biking enthusiasts welcomed the Neo Sports Café inspired Honda CB300R with a lot of enthusiasm. Overwhelmed by the response since its launch in February, we have revised our production plan to meet the additional demand.
Earlier this month, Honda commenced the deliveries of the CB300R to customers in Chandigarh, Jaipur, Delhi and Gurugram. The company will start deliveries of the CB300R in other cities soon. The CB300R is sold through 22 Honda Wing World showrooms across the country. Priced at INR 2.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), it rivals the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G310R. The price of the naked roadster is close to that of the Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 street model that retails at INR 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) onwards.

The Honda CB300R features the company’s Neo Sports Café theme that is also seen on the CB1000R and the CB650R. It is offered in two colour options – Matte Axis Gray Metallic and Candy Chromosphere Red. The feature list includes full-LED lighting, upside-down telescopic front forks and a digital instrument console. Powering this model is a 286 cc liquid-cooled single cylinder, DOHC engine with fuel injection. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the motor churns out 30.9 bhp of max power at 8,500 rpm and 27.5 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm.
The CB300R can be personalised with accessories that include 16 independent options and 4 customised kits – Premium, Protection, Standard and Sports.
