Honda CBR650F (India-spec) specifications leaked in comparo - Report

Ahead of its launch which is slated to take place this month, specifications of the Honda CBR650F were revealed in a slideshow, comparing the motorcycle to the Kawasaki Ninja 650, Triumph Street Triple and the Ducati Monster 795.
The CBR650F, one of the many launches for HMSI (Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.) this year, is powered by a 649 cc four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 87 PS at 11,000 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm and is paired to a 6-speed transmission.
For the Indian market, the CBR650F will be assembled with localization levels of about 5 percent. Initially, the motorcycle will be available for sale in around 20 locations in the country. According to one report, assembly of the bike will initially be capped at 2 units/day, and only one color option will be available.
The CBR650F is based on a twin-spar steel frame and measures 2,110 mm in length, 755 mm in width and 1,145 mm in height with a wheelbase of 1,450 mm. It will use a 41 mm telescopic fork up front and a swingarm monoshock strut at the rear.

Braking power for Honda's middleweight comes from a 320 mm twin-piston caliper disc at the front and a 240 mm single-piston caliper disc at the rear. A digital speedo with two tripmeters are part of the feature list.
