Honda City Adventure Concept, CRF1000L Africa Twin and revised 500 cc models unveiled at EICMA 2015 - IAB Report
Honda has revealed its entire range of 2016 models at the EICMA 2015 in Milan today. The lineup includes the new City Adventure concept, the CB500F, the CBR500R, four more mid-size motorcycles and the 2016 CRF1000L Africa Twin.
Honda City Adventure Concept
Stating that the concept “offers a unique new interpretation of the idea of adventure on two wheels” it is described to be a precursor to the design and development of future Honda scooters and adventure motorcycles. The technical details of the City Adventure Concept has not been revealed, but a long travel inverted fork, knuckle protectors, off-road tyres and an upswept exhaust can be seen.
Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin
It is reported that the all-new CRF1000L Africa Twin is slated for its launch in Europe in the end of 2015. This is the first time the Africa Twin is set to hit the showrooms in the continent. The 2016 model was unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show last month.
Honda's 500 cc offerings
The three 500 cc models by Honda for A2 licence holders in Europe - the Honda CB500F, the CBR500R and the CB500X have been revised significantly. They have received upgrades like LED head- and tail-lamps, pre-load adjuster for the fork, adjustable brake levers, larger fuel tanks, “wave” style ignition keys, and new & shorter exhaust mufflers (for the F and R models). The CB500X is given a 100 mm taller and adjustable windscreen, new body graphics and colours, and a larger fuel tank that offers an extended range of upto 500 km.
