Honda Cliq vs. Honda Activa - Spec sheet & Pictorial comparison
The Honda Activa has sold more than 1.5 lakh units in India since the launch.
With the Honda Activa being the largest selling two-wheeler in the country, Honda’s market share in the automatic scooter segment is enviable for its competition. The Honda Navi, unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, brought fresh new life to the segment with its quirky and fun attitude. It used the same powertrain as the Activa but lacked the practicality of the latter. The Honda Cliq though might change that.
Built on the Navi's platform, the Honda Cliq is 6 kg lighter than the Honda Activa and also gets Honda’s safety net of Combined Brake System with Equalizer. The 109.19 cc engine in both the products is coupled to a V-Matic gearbox producing an identical 8 bhp of maximum power.

The Honda Cliq though claims an output of 8.94 Nm torque while the Honda Activa claims a torque of 9 Nm at the same engine speed. However, that’s a difference which won’t be noticeable in any real-world riding scenarios. In fact, the lighter body of the Cliq will help the scooter feel quicker.
Both the Honda Cliq and Honda Activa 4G get spring loaded hydraulic type suspension setup in the front as well as the rear so should offer similar levels of comfort. The Honda Cliq is smaller than the Honda Activa but gets a shorter 743 mm ground clearance (Activa gets 765 mm). Both the scooters get drum brakes and 10-inch tubeless tyres.
The Honda Activa 4G beats the Honda Cliq in the range on a tankful of petrol as it gets a 5.3-litre tank which is bigger than the puny 3.5-litre seen in the new kid on the block. In features, the Honda Cliq and Honda Activa are neck and neck and get similar AHO, mobile charging point, and a maintenance free battery. The additional luggage carrier for the Honda Cliq increases its versatility.
