Honda X-Blade to get a facelift around the festive season - Report
Honda will give the X-Blade a facelift around the festive season, says a new report from BikeWale. The minor change won't lead to a price hike and dealers will be notified about it by June.

The Honda X-Blade will receive updated colours and graphics for a refreshed look with the facelift. There will be an option for even a dual-tone colour scheme too. For reference, the current model is sold in five colour options – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Matte Frozen Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Matte Marshal Green Metallic. The updated motorcycle may have slight design changes to the fuel tank and shrouds.
The mechanical specifications will remain unaltered. The motorcycle will continue to use the familiar 162 cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 14 bhp of power and a peak torque of 13.9 Nm. The engine is tuned to deliver a healthy low- and mid-range performance. A five-speed gearbox will continue to send power to the rear wheel.
Stopping power comes from a 276 mm single disc at the front, and a 130 mm drum unit at the back. Honda introduced the safety net of single-channel ABS in December last year, and the non-ABS version has been discontinued now to comply with the new safety norms. The 160 cc-class motorcycle features conventional telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear.
The Honda X-Blade already packs attractive features such as full-LED headlight, LED tail lamp, digital instrument console and a hazard light function. It competes with the likes of Hero Xtreme 200R, Suzuki Gixxer 155, Yamaha FZ-S and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has cut its June quarter two-wheeler production by 15-20%, which happens to be its sharpest production cut yet. Lacklustre sales and increasing inventory are cited as the reasons for the production cut.
