Beijing Live - Hyundai ix25
Hyundai Motor lifted the veil on the Hyundai ix25 compact SUV at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show today. Sales of the ix25 will commence in China in the second half of the year and would be made at one of Hyundai's three factories in the country.
The SUV, that Hyundai says is strategically developed for China, is 4,270 millimeters long, 1,780mm wide and 1,630mm tall.
Its wheelbase is 2,590mm, and power will come from an unspecified 2-liter petrol engine.
The ix25's exterior is designed with the Hyundai Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy that was seen first on the new Genesis last year. The vehicle appears slightly more aggressive than the Hyundai crossovers of today. The front is styled with a hexagonal grille, LED-lined headlamps, large foglight enclosures and a silver skid plate.
The profile of the car appears sporty with a sloping roofline, while the design at the rear is simple with a stepped tailgate and exhaust tips integrated into the bumper.
