2015 NAIAS Live - Infiniti Q60 Concept
Next generation Q60 previewed, launches next year.
The successor to the current Infiniti Q60 (or renamed G37) is being showcased at the ongoing 2015 Detroit Auto Show in the form of the Infiniti Q60 Concept. Complementing the striking exterior is a premium leather-laden cabin with a 2+2 seating capacity.
On the outside, the Q60 Concept follows the design showcased by cars like the Q50 Eau Rouge and Q80 Inspiration. The front is characterised by the trademark Infiniti look. Heavy use of creases and body contours is evident, and that helps the Q60 Concept stand out.
LED headlamps, large 21-inch wheels, slim taillamps, and a very well-defined glass house are the key points about the Q60 Concept's exterior. It measures 4,690 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 1,370 mm in height.
The Infiniti Q60 Concept's cabin is a mix of various kinds of leather and a few carbon fibre inserts like the door trims, for example. The coupe offers a 2+2 seating with bucket seats for the rear passengers, too.
Currently, the Q60 (formerly G37) uses a 3.7-litre V6 which is also expected to change once the replacement comes out in 2016. The engine on the Q60 Concept is from the new family of 3-litre twin turbo V6 engines, which is expected within two years, claims the Japanese car maker.
