Priced from INR 39.9 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
Following its Indian launch at the Auto Expo 2016, Jaguar Land Rover showcased the Jaguar XE at the Make in India event. Like its bigger brothers such as the XF and XJ, the Jaguar XE will be locally assembled at the company's plant in Pune.
The XE was launched at prices starting from INR 39.9 Lakhs (ex-showroom). For now, it is only available as a petrol variant which is powered by a 2.0-liter petrol engine available in two power tunes: 147 kW (197 hp) and 177 kW (240 hp). The only transmission option is an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The 177 kW petrol variant is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.
Its front end sports a prominent Jaguar mesh grille flanked by swept-back projector headlamps (Bi-Xenon) and J-shaped LED DRLs, large air intakes and a wide radiator grille in the bumper. Moving to the sides, there are prominent wheel arches, multi-spoke alloys and chrome fender vents, while the rear-end features wraparound LED taillights and a subtle boot spoiler.
