IAB’s interaction with a few dealerships revealed that the RC125 may arrive next week, between 15-18 June. We have also learnt that the upcoming bike will be priced between INR 1.45–1.50 lakh*. The KTM 125 Duke, for reference, retails at INR 1.30 lakh*. The fully-faired motorcycle, as reported earlier, will most likely arrive in multiple colour options, likely Orange/White, Orange/Black and Full Black.
The RC125 will share its mechanical specifications, chassis and the hardware with the 125 Duke but carry sportier ergonomics. Features shared with the 125 Duke include digital instrument console, underbelly exhaust, upside-down telescopic front forks, adjustable monoshock at the back and LED blinkers. However, unlike the 125 Duke’s conventional headlight, the RC125 packs twin-pod projector headlamp. The full fairing design with a tall windscreen also delivers improved ergonomics.
Mechanical specifications include 124.7 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with fuel injection tech and 4-valves that delivers 14.5 PS of peak power at 9,250 rpm and 12 Nm of max torque at 8,000 rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Braking setup includes single discs on either wheel, while the safety net comprises a single-channel ABS. Its direct rival, the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0, benefits from dual-channel ABS. The YZF-R15 V3.0 ABS, for reference, is available for INR 1,39,680*.

In more updates, the Austrian brand has reportedly pushed the launch of the 790 Duke to next year following a delay in the homologation process. The middleweight naked roadster is now likely to arrive in early 2020. The 790 Duke’s Indian launch will be reportedly preceded by the much-awaited 390 Adventure that, as claimed by a report from earlier this month, will arrive by the end of 2019. The KTM 390 Adventure will debut at the 2019 EICMA motorcycle show. We also expect to see the updated RC range at the motoring event in Milan, Italy.
