KTM RC390, RC200 launched at NPR 649,000 and 499,900 - Nepal

KTM aims to achieve 50 percent market share in Nepal.

KTM's distributor in Nepal, Hansaraj Hulas Chand and Company have launched the KTM RC390 and RC200 in Nepal, and priced them at NPR 649,000 (INR 4.05 lakhs) and NPR 499,900 (INR 3.12 lakhs) respectively. These are approximately double the prices of these bikes in India.

The RC390 makes 42.9 bhp.

The company has started accepting bookings for these bikes at their showroom located in Naxal, Kathmandu. Currently, KTM has a market share of 40 percent in the premium bike market in Nepal, and aims to increase this to 50 percent this financial year.

The KTM RC's borrow their powertrains from their respective Duke siblings. The RC390 is powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled 373.2 cc engine capable of 43.5 PS (42.9 bhp) at 9,000 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.

The RC200 on the other hand uses a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 199.5 cc engine developing 25 PS (24.64 bhp) at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. Both motorcycles get a 6-speed transmission.

The RC200 makes 24.6 bhp of maximum power.

Dripping wet, the RC390 weighs 166 kg while the RC200 comes in at 154 kg.

The RC twins were launched in India in September for INR 1.6 lakhs (for RC200) and INR 2.05 lakhs, ex-Showroom, Delhi. The bikes sold in Nepal are indeed exported from India.
