IAB Report - Lamborghini Huracan unveiled, deliveries beginning this March
Lamborghini has unveiled the spiritual successor to the Gallardo, the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4, on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show at the VW Group Night. Deliveries are set to begin towards the end of March 2014.
The Huracan LP 610-4, as the name suggests, is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine that produces 610 hp at 8,250 rpm and a peak torque of 560 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The new engine combines both direct and indirect fuel injection systems, the company says, to result in more power, torque with higher fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
The car has a top speed of 325 kph and 0-100 kph takes 3.2 seconds and onward to 200 kph in 9.9 seconds. The V10 engine is mated to a new 7-speed dual clutch transmission and features fully electronically controlled four-wheel drive system.
The supercar features carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, while the 'Lamborghini Dynamic Steering' variable steering ratio system and magneto-rheologic suspension damper control are available as options.
The Huracan's chassis is an integrated hybrid structure consisting of carbon and aluminium elements, having a dry weight of 1,422 kg.
