Lamborghini has unveiled the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Spyder, more than a year after the coupe made its debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The car's public debut will be staged at the Frankfurt Motor Show tomorrow.
Like the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, the Huracan convertible looks identical to the coupe version, save for the chopped roof. With that, the design of the engine hood has been slightly tweaked with more air intakes and a closed engine cover.
The driver is able to close the soft top in 17 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h by pressing a button on the central tunnel.
It features an aggressive driver focused cabin with characteristic Lamborghini touches and carbon fiber trim, Alcantara dashboard and seat upholstery, and an Audi-sourced Virtual Cockpit Display with Lamborghini's tweaks.
The Huracan Spyder will source power from the same 5.2-liter V10 naturally aspirated engine, which produces 610 PS and 560Nm of torque, which is paired to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. It is capable of hitting 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, 0.2 seconds slower than the regular Huracan.
Fuel consumption is rated at 12.3 liters / 100 km (8.13 km/l) aided by a new start/stop system and cylinder on demand technology. The car comes with standard carbon ceramic brakes with 380 mm front discs matched to brake calipers painted in any colour the customer chooses. LED headlights, 20-inch Giano alloy wheels and the 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster are the other features on the car.
Deliveries of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder commence next spring in Europe with prices starting at €186,450 (INR 1.39 crores) excluding taxes.
