Mahindra Canto/Mahindra Cresto (Quanto facelift) spotted again - Spied
Could be launched on February 3.
The Mahindra Quanto facelift that is expected to be named the Mahindra Canto or Mahindra Cresto, has been photographed testing again, this time by Auto Column. The model is believed to be scheduled for its debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida on February 3. It is likely the last product Mahindra will launch this fiscal.
The replacement of the Quanto appears to be adopting a very different design with a new grille, redesigned head lamps with prominent LED DRLs, new bumper, a new bonnet with an air-scoop and perhaps new body panels.
Powering the Mahindra Canto is expected to be the recently introduced mHawk 80 three-cylinder diesel engine that produces 84 hp and 230 Nm of torque on the Mahindra TUV300, in place of the 1.5-litre three-cylinder mCR100 diesel engine. The motor would be offered with the choice of a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed AMT, branded autoSHIFT. Export markets should continue getting the vehicle with the 2.2-liter engine and the optional 4WD system.

The Mahindra Canto is expected to be offered in five-seat and seven-seat variants depending on the market it is sold in.
